Hill Country getaway

We enjoyed Black Canyon RV Park quite a bit, to call it an RV park is doing it a disservice. Very close to town and just the right amenities to keep you comfortable as well as very quiet. The information from the owner was very helpful as some of the ideas she gave helped us make our stay in Wimberley much more enjoyable. The route directions the owner sent were also very helpful since GPS will put you on roads not suitable for an RV. As it is a newer RV park the trees are not as mature and therefore do not provide much shade. Wonderful quiet RV park, we will definitely be back.

Thank you for such a great review. You were a pleasure to host and we hope to have that honor again some day!

Loved Site 1

I was initially disappointed not to get site 5, but I ended up loving site 1. The fire pit is on the utility side of the trailer, but it’s completely “hidden” from the other sites. The WiFi was weak, but the AT&T signal was good. I’m booking the same site for next year. Sally was great to work with and the sites are very new and well taken care of.

Awesome Stay

My wife and I really like this RV Park. It’s very small, with only seven sites, but very well kept and quite and relaxing. Black Canyon Wimberley is just far enough away from town, but strategically located for shopping, restaurants, breweries and wineries. We had a lite conversation with on-site host and was otherwise left alone to unwind and recreate. Seems a bit more appropriate for adults as not much to do onsite for kiddos. I highly recommend if you are looking for something in the area.

Thank you! Hosting you was our pleasure.

RV park was as advertised. Small, quiet and peaceful. Close to town and the river. Community picnic table, fire pit and complimentary firewood (when they have it in stock). Highly recommend!

Thank you so much!

Small, quite, peaceful, surrounded by nature, just the way WE like it. Great place for a base of operations to explore Texas Hill Country. Nearby Wimberley is a cute town off the beaten path, not too touristy, just a little. And the WiFi actually works as well as our Cable service at home, which is a rarity in RV Parks. Will definitely be coming back

I would love to host you again one day! So glad you had a great time and got to explore some of our Hill Country State Parks.

Nice clean, new campground. Plenty of firewood, few amenities and no cable. But pristine and close to town.

Thank you for the nice review. I am so glad you had a nice stay with us. You were a joy to host. Hopefully, our excellent WiFi made up for the lack of cable. As a new park, we chose to invest in good internet services rather than cable.

Happy Campers 😊

We definitely enjoyed our weekend. It was very peaceful and quiet. We wished there had been a doggie park for our little one. We would definitely come back

A fenced off-leash area is on our wish list! I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Thank you!

Great stay at Black Canyon

This is a great small and quiet park. Really enjoyed our stay. Close to the Blanco river and the town of Wimberley and all the things there are to do there. Very relaxing stay and would definitely stay at Black Canyon again!

Thank you for the nice review!

A great place to stay

We camped in our 5th wheel trailer in Premium Site 5. Our daughter, son-in-law and grandson stayed in one of the beautiful cabins. We were able to enjoy meals together. We had a campfire 2 nights and roasted marshmallows for s'mores. Given that Wimberly is a Dark Sky community, we were able to enjoy the night sky with lots of stars. There were also some nice sunrises and sunsets. It worked out well having the RV site and cabin so close. We could visit each other with out having to drive back and forth. We plan to visit again.

Sounds like a dream vacation to me! So glad you enjoyed it.
